Privacy Policy

This is the plain-English version of how Resale Brief handles your information. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell it, and you can leave whenever you like.
What we collect
When you subscribe: your email address, plus the date you signed up and the page you signed up from. That's all we need to send you the newsletter.
When you read the emails: like most email platforms, our provider records whether an email was delivered and opened and which links were clicked. We use this in aggregate to see which topics are useful, not to profile you.
When you visit the website: basic, anonymous usage statistics such as page views, referring sites, country and device type. We don't use cookies for this.
When you buy something: your name, email and payment details, handled by our payment provider. We see what you bought and your email so we can deliver it and help with support. We never see or store your full card number.
When you email us: whatever you choose to include in your message.
The services we use
We rely on a small number of third parties, each of which handles data under its own privacy policy:
- Kit (kit.com) stores the subscriber list and sends the newsletter.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics measures website traffic. It's cookieless and doesn't track you across sites.
- Polar (polar.sh) processes payments for paid products.
We don't use advertising trackers, social media pixels or fingerprinting.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- We don't share your email address with sponsors. Sponsors get a placement in the newsletter or on the site, not access to readers. If you click a sponsor's link, what happens on their site is covered by their privacy policy.
- We don't send you anything you didn't sign up for.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, you stop getting emails immediately. Purchase records are kept as long as we need them for tax and accounting.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: every email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Access, correct or delete your data: reply to any newsletter email and ask. We'll handle it promptly.
- Block analytics: a standard content blocker will block Cloudflare Web Analytics, and the site works fine without it.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or CCPA may give you further rights, and we'll honor them.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and mention it in the newsletter.
